.Course Overview
Introduction to Long Term Care and Basic Nursing Skills. This course introduces students to the care and skills used in caring for residents/ patients in a long-term care and other healthcare settings under the supervision of a nurse. Graduates of this program will be able to communicate and interact effectively with patients, nurses, and other healthcare team, and assist patients in attaining and maintaining maximum functional independence, while observing patient rights. 

They will learn how to perform basic nursing care, first aid care, take vital signs, apply the elements of basic nutrition in meal planning, and follow infection control measures. Additionally, they will be able to apply proper body mechanics in bed making, lifting, and turning patients. A graduate of the Nurse Aide Training Program at Ideal Nursing Institute will receive a certificate of completion and will become a Certified Nurse Aide after successfully passing the state exam.

As a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), graduates should be able to work in a variety of healthcare settings under the supervision of a Registered or a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Places that hire CNA's include Nursing homes/Long term care facilities, homehealth care agencies, Clinics, and Hospitals, etc.

Our instructors are proven professionals with the patience to provide you with the best training possible. Our instructors will show you and help you know what you need to know to be successful in your chosen careers.

We have Morning and Evening Classes. We accept ONLY 20 seats per class. Register early to ensure you secure a seat. Registration is done at the school. Just walk in and register. No appointment is necessary.​
